In 8 minutes, 46 seconds, Derek Chauvin took his life, and his murder served as a wake-up call for our entire country. We must demand justice, police accountability, and commitment for people of color who are targeted rather than protected by law enforcement. As a country, we must work every day to end racism in the institutions meant to keep us safe and help our communities thrive.
